Why We Won’t Be at IMEX This Year (and How We’d Love to Connect After)

Next week, one of the biggest events in our industry is happening: IMEX America. It’s where agencies, brands, and suppliers from all over the world gather to share ideas, make connections, and celebrate the very best of meetings and events.

And while many of you—our clients, partners, and friends—will be there soaking up all the creativity and inspiration, you won’t see Mel Boteri on the show floor this year.

Why Not?

It’s simple: we don’t believe in showing up just to check a box. IMEX is an incredible stage, but for us, participation has to feel intentional. Just like our gifts, which are made-to-order and thoughtfully designed, we want the way we show up in the industry to reflect that same care and curation.

When We Do Show Up, We Show Up Big

The last time we attended IMEX America —back in 2016—we partnered with our friends at Global Gifting on an on-site monogramming activation that was such a hit, it earned us a full center-spread feature in the IMEX magazine! It was one of the largest images in the issue and a moment we’ll never forget.

That experience taught us that when we do participate, it should be in a way that leaves a lasting impression. And that’s exactly what we’ll do when the time is right.

So, Will You Ever See Us at IMEX Again?

Maybe. But if (and when) you do, it will only be because we’ve found a way to participate that feels aligned, intentional, and impactful—on par with the energy of our 2016 debut.
